Iris Operator Details

Iris Operator is our V2 core engine - the foundation that allows AI agents to securely interact with your computer. It will later be integrated into the app itself, but is currently available as a standalone Docker container. Works on Linux, macOS, and Windows.

Install & Run

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pokemonlabs/iris.release/refs/heads/main/docker/run.sh | bash

After installation, access at: http://localhost:8080

Iris Agent is our advanced desktop application that goes beyond Operator with powerful capabilities like Model Context Protocol support, web search, and sophisticated code generation. Currently available for Mac Silicon (M1/M2/M3) with macOS 12.0+.

Manual Installation

  1. Download assistant.zip from our GitHub releases page
  2. Double-click to extract Iris Assistant.app
  3. Open Terminal and run this command (replace path if needed): 
    xattr -d com.apple.quarantine ~/Downloads/Iris\ Assistant.app
  4. Launch the application by double-clicking or running: 
    open ~/Downloads/Iris\ Assistant.app

Docker Installation Command

Run this command in your terminal to install and start Iris Operator:

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pokemonlabs/iris.release/refs/heads/main/docker/run.sh | bash
This script will configure and start the Iris Operator for you. After installation, access at http://localhost:8080

The default VNC password is headless. You can also append ?password=headless as a query parameter to avoid entering the password each time you start the container.
